Lovely kingsize quilt

Lovely kingsize quilt that was handed in to the Op Shop I have just washed it as it was soiled in a couple of spots. It had been heavily quilted in strips and nothing in the other strip. Sadly when it was washed the un-quilted panels the wadding is starting to break up and roll in to balls. SO SO much work and we have a problem all most impossible to fix????? It will still look pretty though on as a bed spread.Close up of the appliqué design

Our local tourist train that comes up twice in the mornings and back down in the after-noons. It is just a tourist train to our village from the city down below.  Ride takes around 2 1/2hrs and is a big attraction  here for the tourists.

It is exciting to see the progress on your LE. The cabinet was a wonderful find and having LE out where you can see her will encourage your to keep working on her. Enjoyed the beach and flower photos. It is 0*F here at 6am this morning, wind-chill factor is below zero. My Amaryllis bulbs have flower buds and in another month I’ll have flowers in winter. Blessings, Gretchen

your kimono’s are beautiful. The darker pink is very pretty with the LE but I too wonder on the ovals that you have already prepped – will they blend into the background? maybe you could solve that problem by embroidery an outline around them when you are done in a darker color – more work of course – just an idea.

Than metal cabinet for storing your kimonos is such a brilliant idea and the top provides a good work space.

Love your tourist train, sounds like the ones we have taken in the mountains of the west that go between tourist towns that have great scenery in between.

    Dear Glenda

I love the brighter pink silk. It makes your LE pop! I have been playing catch-up in my sewing room. Then I have to tidy up the piles of mess, which have I have discovered. My LE wink at me, urging me on to finish all the “honey to do list stuff”. With an incentive like LE, it makes it so much quicker.

I like the darker border. Isnt it funny how something that bothers us can stop progress on any other part until we solve the problem. Your LE is beautiful.
Thanks for sharing the beach pictures. We’ve had a couple of cm of snow this week so sunny beach pictures look especially inviting.
