I don’t even want to think about Christmas yet LOL but my daughter and her great niece came over earlier today and Aniya was asking if she could help decorate the tree like she did last year and make cookies – so I guess the cookbooks will be coming out soon after our Thanksgiving is over and the girls will be over to make cookies and decorate. Your Love Entwined is looking wonderful

Hi Karen, I have found this year just disappear so fast. I’m hoping that our youngest grandchild will be up to visit to make cookies too. we use to make play dough together when she was 1 year old but now it is the real thing, icing sugar will be every where LOL. Thanks for the encouraging words on my LE it has been a real adrenaline rush making it after 18 months of looking at it on paper. Your appliqué blocks on your design wall are stunning Karen, I just love the soft shades you have chosen. I saw a quilt on Sohpie’s blog this morning which I’m tempted to start called Scrappy Love by Cintia Gonzalez; it is machine made and a great scrap buster. Hugs Glenda

Wow! Your work is always so beautifully done, Glenda! Those colonial knots look great – as does the rest of the bouquet that you are creating. I like those three little buds above your iris too – are they drawn up circles? Lovely!

    • glenda says:

Hi Plum, thanks for dropping in, yes to the little buds; I made tiny wee circles with the sides turned under over freezer paper ironed the seams then removed the freezer paper; I ran a tiny tiny running stitch using bottom line across the circle and pulled it up tight and stitched back through the back several times. Two are made of fine silk and the other a medium silk. Hugs Glenda

Beautifully detailed applique! It’s going to be gorgeous when it’s all done.

I’m in denial about Christmas. Maybe I’ll do better once we get past Thanksgiving.

    • glenda says:

Hi Kate so nice to see your name here, I have just been in looking at your blog, I love love the golden tree by the lake what a tranquil spot, your photo would make a stunning modern art quilt. One of my challenges this year was to finish my centre of LE, I’m close to doing that but not sure if I will complete it, as I have 100’s of colonial knots to do on my hearts as their centre ovals are also done with colonial knots!!!!. Cheers Glenda

  4. Beautiful work on your LE. I don’t want to think about Christmas baking yet, oh no….:)

    • glenda says:

Hello Deb, great to see a new name, to day I spent an hour going back through your delightful blog, it was nice to meet some of your family especially the 2Ib twins!!!! they look so cute; and get to know some of your likes and dislikes and then to see what you are up to quilting wise. Love the colours you work in. I’m betting you have a house full of home cooking over the Xmas and New Year celebrations even if you don’t want to think about it now LOL. Cheers Glenda

  5. PatS says:

You are doing a beautiful job, like you usually do!

    • glenda says:

Hi Pat and welcome back home!, I hope the cruise was wonderful and you have come back rearing to go LOL My challenge is to complete my LE centre before 2016 but not sure I will make it as I have 1000’s of colonial knots to make on my hearts!!!!! but I’m so happy that finally Vase 4 has come together for me and after procrastinating for 18 months over it it just fell in to place????? I have been adding photo of each step of the way to motivate me not to stop more than any other reason LOL. Hugs Glenda

  6. Gretchen says:

Le is so pretty, very elegant. Every stitch is one stitch closer to being completed! Blessings, Gretchen

    • glenda says:

Hi Gretchen, so lovely to see all the fall colours on your blog while we are in to summer down here, my DGD 3 and her mum came up to visit this morning and we sat in the pool or pool area for the 3 hrs thats how warm it is here. My DGD slept well after wards LOL. My blog is rather boring at present as it is lots of photo’s of just my 4th Vase but it is to make me keep going and not get side tracked as so many quilters are dropping in to see if I’m going to meet my challenge LOL. I cut out my ovals yesterday and they are waiting to be appliquéd on so thats this weeks challenge?????? Hugs Glenda

  7. Heidi says:

Hi Glenda, your LE is really looking great, there is nothing like putting pressure on oneself to finish up a project. Your’e getting so close now to see the end of it, I imagine that this spurs you on even more. That blue in the Iris is very eye catching. Love it. Take care, Heidi

  8. Bunny says:

Oh Glenda your LE is so beautiful and delicate.. I have to get back to mine soon… I also have to finish Oma’s Blue. Not in mood for much stitching but soon hopefully I will get back to it.
    Hugs Bunny
