WOW 27th Nov 2013 with Esther at http://www.estheraliu.blogspot.com/

Well my 1st flower arrangement is almost completed, just a few tiny stalks on my cherries to be added. Which reminds me I had my first Xmas cherries today and they were delicious.

Finally my first flower arrangement almost complete!!!!

I have started making my next border of Zig Zags so when I get to this stage I wont be just making zig zags for weeks LOL>

I'm adding some beautiful old Kimono silk that Jenny sent me in between my Zig Zag borders.

I have remade my Calla lilies as I felt the heavy embossed silk would not wear well. Small Calla is made for the same material I'd used before but not so heaverly embossed. Large Calla is from some very tightly woven lightly embossed silk and I have added some padding behind the white before adding the yellow spadix which I stitched down through 3 layers to try and get a 3D effect here. . I need to add the stalks to my right hand cherry branch.

A few weeks ago I told you my DS was making a fish pond with his son and when they finished that day the old bust turkey moved in and built him self a dust nest to help get rid of his fleas.

I will be linking up with Esther this morning now,  I was hoping to make my trip down to the beach now but waiting for the fridge maintenance man who was meant to come first thing this morning?????? will add more later if I have any more photo’s.

Happy stitching those who are finding the time to sew with only 4 weeks till Xmas. Cheers Glenda

I will be glad to get back to work on Love Entwined and I might start back soon, I’m trying to decide if I should really work on two applique projects at one time or finish one of them first that is nearing the end! One day I will get back to work on it for sure and love how your quilt is coming along.

    Hi there Glenda!
Absolutely beautiful silk for your latest border – your quilt is looking awesome!
(My Nephew used to curse the Bush Turkeys for mucking up his Garden when they were in Darwin.)

Glenda your redone Lilies are so perfect, I thought you must have padded them when I saw your photo to the group. Can’t believe you managed to use the kimono fabric for your Oak leaves as well, they look amazing. Brilliant work, Hugs Jenny
