13th Oct 2016 Annabelle

I often wonder how people find time to blog every day, I guess in another time they would have kept a diary!  I never could keep them up LOL  I have been babysitting and going to so many birthday dinners this week I have nothing new to show you.  But I have had lots of fun with my DGD 4.

I like to add little bits of antique jewellery or button to finish off.

To day Indi DGD 4 and I racked up leaves I took 8 wheel barrow-loads down to the top of the slope for hubby to take down to the tip below????? See the tiny sunpatch top right hand corner that is about 6 metres down a slope.

Where you can see the sunlight is where he has scratched all the leaves to, this is where he is thinking of building his nest?????

Hubby does not have to do that now as Mr wild Bush Turkey scratched them all down to where you can see the sunlight, this is where he is thinking of building his nest?????  hopefully he will clean the rest of the yard up for us, I will keep you posted on that one LOL

you must be feeling better if you are helping hubby with outside work! your bag has turned out lovely and your project with the wool is so cute. So good to make use of old clothing no longer in use.

Hi Karen, it’s been wonderful to be out side again. I like to use beautiful fabrics and I have found that one of the beat ways to buy it cheaply is to visit the Op Shop and look in the fancy dress up area where they hang every thing that is older than 20 years and there are always lovely silks, linen. Cotton and woollen clothes there and the material is the very best. I also check the material bins, it’s a bit like a lucky dip looking through those bins though LOL. Hugs Glenda

  4. Your bag is lovely, Glenda! Love all the details, especially the sweet dragonfly! Great use of your old fabric! Love all the pockets …. that’s the really great thing about making your own bags, isn’t it, you can have as many pockets as you please! Love the sweet Annabelles too! The Bush Turkey sounds amazing, lets hope he does his share of the chores!

Hi Barbara, sadly the old fellow (bush turkey) has stopped his racking LOL He has been coming here for the last 10 years and Im amazed he is still alive, they must be very hardy animals; they drive me crazy when they are a year old as they come in to the garden and dig up any thing that has a bulb on it so its good buy to my flowers till they learn their is a dog here who I have encouraged to chase them LOL the old fellow has been here so long he just ignores her. Annabelle is one of the sweets wee creatures I have had the joy of making she is truly an adorable little creature to bring to life. Hugs Glenda
