Corners of Peaceful Pathways 30th Oct 2011

For those of you dropping in, I’m away for a week been a tourist with our young lass from France. We are going to drive up from Brisbane in a Mini Cooper!!!!!!! and play tourists. QLD coastal road is full of nature at it’s best, beauty 90% of the 1700klms. I have done this trip many times and never tire of it.

This week weather has been perfect; like living in Paradise for the tourists; even the river below the house has been sparkling.

.

My garden is full of colour at present;  latest is a mixture of flowers.

Just starting to open

One is just starting to open and in a couple of days will be a perfect round red ball, this has to be my favourite flower up here.

Phalaenopsis

We have a new white Phalaenopsis just 3/4 open, our last 2 the insects have demolished over the last two days.

New addition to plant out in to the garden

Quilting wise I have been working on my swap12 days of Xmas gifts for another online quilter. I just have 6 Xmas decorations to make and I can then post them off. I finally finished one corner of BOM Peaceful Pathways by Esther Aliu, these corners are a beautiful piece of art and I loved working on it. Stitched in two threads of DMC using a number 11 needle and stem stitch.

Now 3 more to go!!!!

Beautiful corner design of Esther’s Peaceful Pathways

One of the above was taken with a flash and the other without, I could not decide which one to use so gave up and have uploaded both??????

I have decide to make another scrappy bag for a Xmas present as some one who saw the one I finished last week liked it so much I new it was the perfect gift for her this Xmas.  I will be a whole week away from my sewing, wow how will I cope!!!!! Hope you all have a fun week. Cheers Glenda
