I made another log-cabin to day and this completed the last of the log-cabins I will need to cover the shape of the Tie Bag.
Added the last two pieces of log-cabin to complete the puzzle!!!!! you can see the back of the bag above the log-cabin shape cut out waiting for me to decide what or how I will make it; will it be the lining too or the back of the bag, I do love the design of this material, red on black with gold Ginkgo leaves printed over the red and black fabric.
Close up of completed log-cabins ready to be appliquéd. I worked on them tonight and have 80% appliquéd down and then I will add the binding, after this the real enjoyment starts quilting in the ditch around all the logs. These bags are all made by hand not machine.
