My Beach Looking South

My Beautiful Wednesday morning spot looking South now looking North

Trinity Beach looking North so beautiful

Please click on photo’s to enlarge.

Just back from coffee with my friend & a visit to the beach, the sea looked grey to day as it was windy & the waves were full of sand great for swimming but not so pretty to look at or for sewing by????? I even took the quilt I’m blanket stitching around at present so when it finally goes to Vienna my friend can prove it was made by the beach in OZ through the winter; yes it is winter here for us, around 27C this morning down there!!!!!

This is the start of my Peaceful Pathways quilt but don’t credit me for this beautiful work.

Words for Peaceful Pathways

(This is part of Esther’s free BOM at present; check it out at  http://www.estheraliu.com/

Are’nt we lucky to be able to join in on her personal journey of quilts.)

Bunny in Canada made these word blocks up for me how lucky can you be???, One of the blocks is “Love is Kind” that sums up Bunny.

I’m now hunting for my red fabrics & I can not believe I have depleted them to this extent?????

SO few reds in my stash where did the others go to??????

SO instead of making HST this after-noon I’m hunting for reds still. I have found several reds I like but they are silk jackets & I wanted to use cottons for this quilt?????

4 red Kimono silk jackets!!!!!

After 2hrs hunting I guess my HST are not going to be started after all, I will have to wait till I visit Cairns & buy some reds???????????????

Update??? Thursday here but still Wed in Europe??? We have not had rain for several weeks & my Tree Ferns are suffering, so I put the sprinklers on them this morning, straight away there were 3 Friar-birds

Friar-bird in Tree fern

washing them selves so they must be dusty too. You can only see one in this photo. I also saw a large yellow & green python snake

Beautiful Python snake

on the road this morning very very beautiful, I stopped the car & other traffic till it was off the road. Have been working on my Tsunami Quilt

For the Tsunami victims

this after-noon, now I just need to finish the hemming.

Some of you have asked me about my Blog heading photo???? Why did I choose it. Well to me all my quilts are a new journey, even blogging is a new journey for me, & this photo to me makes me think about setting off on a new journey to where??????? the road ends in a bend and you never know whats around the corner!!!!!! Quilting is one new adventure after another, & there is always some thing new to learn, it is a never ending adventure to me. Lots of friends made on the way & lots of lovely memories to Cherish .

Well that’s the end of another WOW for me, it’s back to my Vienna quilt & Hearts Desire till I visit the fabric shop next week. Cheers ALL Glenda

Oh I love the photo of the beach and the ocean it is glorious. The beach is my very favorite place to be and only get to go once a year. We do have lake Ontario about 15 min. away and I will take a photo to send to you next time I am done on the Lakeshore. I could have popped in some reds for you. I will try to get some out to you in the next day or so I have so many. Hugs

Love the pics of the beach and ocean! makes me miss the ocean. I had to order red and white material to start on the quilt still waiting for the mail to bring them! I’m hoping to get started this next week. It’s nice to join in this time. I’m usually following along but haven’t had the chance to work the quilts yet so here goes! Have a great week!

What a lucky lady you are to live so close to such a beautiful place!
    Thanks for sharing your pictures.

Any progress on Heart’s Desire this week?

Great to see that you have pulled your reds, now that Bunny has done your embroidery for you. It will be a real buddy quilt.

No nothing to update on Hearts Desire Anne-Marieke, trying to finish a Tsunami quilt for Japan this week so everything else is on hold.

    Hi Glenda,
That beach sure looks good right about now. I am still getting over my car journey. I have lots of bits and pieces to get done today, thinking about your nice little rainforest sanctuary up north. That was so nice of Bunny, isn’t she kind? She couldnt have been generous to a nicer person!! The embroidery looks great. OOooh I wonder what reds you will select?

    Hi Glenda,
love your photos of Trinity Beach, and the quilt looks very good on it! We used to stop at Trinity Beach on our way up to visit my cousin at Mission Beach (?) from Townsville, when my dh was in the army there many many years ago. What a treasure Bunny is to embroider your words for you !! I’m just looking at this quilt for now. I have too much else to get finished without starting anything new for the rest of the year!
