WOW or WIP’s 30th Oct 2019

Last week I showed how I made up my blooms using irononfussing  these will be machine appliqued down on to the border of Hold On To Your Heart Quilt by Esther Aliu.  It’s very very beautiful.

I wanted some soft pink  blooms for contrast in the basket arrangement, this one I was happy with but there was not enough contrast in the centre?

Rew

Added another colour but it was too dark.

Lkjh

Ended up using both, when I put the light one back over the dark to May be go with it,  it sliped down and showed the dark behind it and I had my answer.

It will give lightness when I add it with all the others in the baskets.

In the garden this week.  First time for 2 months I’ve been able to get around the garden, it’s a great feeling to be able to.

ON the right tall green leaf is a dragon fly defending his territory, on the left hand green leaf 1/2 way up is a dragonfly nymph which has come up out of the water to turn in to a new dragonfly, it is about to hatch out. If it’s a female they will mate and lay more eggs to hatch out in the pond.

MY cat is covered by a leaf quilt to keep her warm?

A new Brom flowering for the first time.

One day lorises have started flowering, one of my favourite  flowers that bloom every year for me, they grow like weeds in the garden.

Each Iris that touches the grown will root, so they keep self propergating.

Thank you for dropping in,  I’m feeling a lot better than last week.  Cheers Glenda.

  2. So glad you feel good enough to walk around the garden! Even if you weren’t able to be outside, you are creating your own flowers inside! Happy Stitching!

    Dear Glenda
Love the blooms, so glad you are mobile enough to enjoy your garden again. We just love the vibrant red and greens. Our snowy season has arrived, so all the abundance of nature is a special gift.
