WOW or WIP’s with Esther 4th July 2019

Hello from still a wet Kuranda in the FNof QLD?????

This week I’ve spent machine appliqueing down  the flowers and fish on my Wrapt in Love Block, it’s slow going but very fast compared to hand applique.

Jhhh

I accidentally iron down my pink tulips upside down!!!!! they looked like barracuda fish to me so they  have become Cheshire tulips?  Remember my WIL is called Alice ?

Hggv

Fish are slowly growing, I can not iron down more than two at a time as they just fall off in this weather with all the turning of the fabric?  All these bubbles are machine appliqued down. I used a aqua metallic thread.

Ive just finished one of my men’s tie shoulder bags and the other only 10 mins sewing on the machine, may be today?

Jhhhb

Two halves of a bag,  just need to join these now and this bag will be finished too.

Top bag is now sewn together and ready for a new owner?

A sweet wee doily again makes a lovely wee pocket.

Large buttons added to help the wear on the bottom of the bag plus keeps it clean when put down?

Little  dollies make fun and interesting wee pockets for inside of the bags, there is beautiful fine crochet around these ones?

This is one of the mens ties which forms the gusset of the bag. I leave in labels for interest, even though it’s inside?

One Finished bag.

A friend gave me this partly made wool floor rug, some one gave to her, who ever last worked on it, made quiet a few mistakes in the top left corner so I will have to unpick an area and start again, hopefully finish it this winter?

A friend gave me this partly made wool floor rug, some one gave to her, who ever last worked on it, made quiet a few mistakes in the top left corner so I will  unpick that area and start again, I started on it yesterday,  hopefully finish it this winter?  Even the hook was still in the box. Such a lovely floor rug to be?

In the garden this week?

Right in th e middle of the photo two white cockatoos are stripping off the seeds from this palm, not to eat just stripping them off!!!

Repotted my desert rose tree, it’s been so wet I nearly lost it, hopefully now it’s sitting in shingle it will bounce back, those are rock crystal boulders on the top, front ones if you zoom in are cut in 1/2 and you can see the crystals?  Those paves need a lot of help to, its been so wet mould and moss grow over night?????

what a pretty garden I understand it can be too wet for some plants though – everything must really grow quickly – love bag with the big flower on it

    Dear Glenda

You could do with ” Moss-be-Gone”. It is a product for getting rid of moss, which they sell in British Columbia. Love your tie bags. Machine applique goes so much quicker.
We have very hot and humid weather here, so no complaints. Our cat is not impressed with the humidity.
