Love Entwine Vase 4 22nd Oct 2015

I’m adding another link to day as  after a YEAR I have finally started on vase 4 of Love Entwine?????   Why oh why did I procrastinate  over starting this vase when I flew throughout the others with no problem???????  I can not still believe that I have started the 4th vase; I started it yesterday avo but I had all ready blogged so I’m making this a new link for this week  This is my life long WIP ???????

Unbelievable I have pulled vase 4 pattern.

Unbelievable I have pulled vase 4 pattern.

Cleared my work top so i can start.

Cleared my work top and cleaned it so I can start.

Cutting the flower stems so I can draw them on to my backing fabric.

Cutting the flower stems so I can draw them on to my backing fabric.

Drawing in the stem lines with a pencil you won't see them as the bias ribbon will cover them.

Pinned pattern to my backing and Drawing in the stem lines with a pencil you won’t see them as the bias ribbon will cover them.  What I found out the hard way is the vase shape for this block is much bigger than the other vase in this shape so I’m having to make the stems longer but it will be OK in the long run.  I made these vase shapes up at the same time not realising the difference in size and I have no more of this fabric so it just has to be.

If you look carefully you can see the stem lines

If you look carefully you can see the stem lines, I was not happy with the way they flowed so I have given them a little curve here and there.

What it looked like when I went to bed last Wed night. Now I need to add the left hand stems then I can have fun adding the flowers and leave.  I’m thinking of soft yellow at present???

I’m off to link AGAIN with Esther’s WOW or WIP’s which this is LOL

Hi Glenda, it has been awhile since I commented on your blog. Glad you got started on the 4th vase–it is going to look beautiful. Your crazy quilt is really coming along, can’t wait to see the finished quilt. Did you finish repairing the quilt for one of your children that you were working on??? So many projects, so little time.

Not much happening in the Griswold house lately. Mom has had a month of doctors appointments so that has taken a lot of time. But I did manage to get the binding on two quilts and only have one more waiting in line. My next project is to make senior badges for my grandson’s water polo team–must be done by Saturday. They will be given to the seniors at their final match on Monday night. Take care, Julie

Hi Julie, I’m sure I owe you a letter it seems ages since I stopped to say hello. I still have not finished the crazy quilt as I have missed placed one of the panels I was working????, the other 5 panels are all done and I have worked out how to join the panels to gather so I won’t have a bulky join but I just have to find that missing panel, I’m sure it is in my linen press so I’m going to have to bite the bullet and pull every thing out of the double cupboard and sort it all out. I will have a big clean up at the same time LOL. I promise you it will take me a whole day to do this. SO lovely to hear from you. Cheers Glenda

I’m enjoying watching the progress people are making on their LE quilts. Same pattern but they all look so different. I’ve never worked with silk fabric. She is going to be a very elegant quilt. Blessings, Gretchen
