Crystal clear water this morning Walking a long the Esplanade this morning

I was late down at the beach this morning as I took Chrystel to catch the bus at 7.30am for Lakelands up near Cooktown Far North QLD, one very excited young lady on a new adventure in the out back of OZ !!!!!! It is quite amazing what an hour later made walking the beach, temperatures were well up so we walked back under the trees rather than back along the beach. For the first time in months the water was crystal clear and the nets are back in the water so we can swim again. This is the driest monsoon season I think we have ever had so I’m making the most of these beautiful walks early in the mornings on the beach.

Trinity Beach Esplanade walk this morning

Because we are having such a dry monsoon season there is a lot less cloud base so we are having very hot days, up around 33C which is very unusual for us, we don’t have aircon just fans but it would be nice to have one room where I could go to and sew, I sit with two fans blowing a blast of air on me and hand sew while watching a DVD in the hottest part of the day.

  1. Your pictures are a welcome blast of heat into my frozen winter, thanks! I love the tones of your blocks for the bag, will undoubtedly look lovely too.

    Hi Glenda!!
Yes, I’m still human, but I sure could use some of your beach scenes today as I am so busy busy busy! (I know, arent we all??).
Where do you find the time to finish all your beautiful WIPs?? That’s a stunning quilt. And then you always treat us to your garden. Well, it’s no secret I love flowers so it’s so nice to see some real orchids in a garden. Lovely!

That’s going to be a really pretty bag. 🙂

Oh that beach looks so inviting. We are also having a very different winter warmer and no snow. Still I am looking forward to Spring and also our cruise in a couple of weeks.
I was concerned that you had flooding that we heard on the news but I guess you are not in that area.
    Hugs Bunny

I love the heart quilt you finished piecing, it would go over well here in Texas as we’re called the “Lone Star State”, and the colors you’ve picked for it makes look like a real “Folk Art” quilt. Of course love the beach and flower pictures. You definitely need Air Conditioning where you live, we have this same weather here starting June – Sept. and into Oct., and I’d be dead by now without my central A/C. I can easily see to where you have a hard time getting any sewing done in this humidity and heat. Heidi
