I have run out of time to do a blog this week so using last weeks blog and adding a little to it. Hubby and I were blessed to ahve ALL the family here on Christmas day.

This wall quilt was designed by Esther Aliu several years ago it was a mystery BOM and all who made it had so much fun and ended up with a stunning Christmas wall hanging my family look forward to seeing it go up each year now.
I wish you ALL the very very best for 2017. See you there next time. Kind Regards to you ALL and thank you for sharing 2016 with me. Glenda
To finish of 2016 blogging I thought I would add some photos of some of the quilts I worked on through out this year !!!!!!

My Penny Rug made from an old WW11 Australian army blanket.I have added another 250 smaller and tiny circles this week but thats all.

Shields and Swords There is another row to the quilt but it is hanging over the back of the line??????

Now we see what the bag will look like when used. It has to have the lace stitiched down now and reinforcing

Centre of Little Hazel by Esther Aliu. Finally hand appliquéd my black bias around my outer circle it took me 3 1/2 hrs ?????

This was one of the first wall quilts I made when I was living in PNG. I’ve added the final border to make it for a small single bed quilt. Now quilting it by hand to stabilise it.

My Postage stamp quilt, with out the black the colours were lost, now Im happy with the way it looks.

1930 scrappy 4inch blocks I brought on EBay making them in to a quilt and Im making more blocks my self from 1930 look a like fabric.

Some times it is so long since I have seen a WIP I have forgotten I have it till I read some ones blog and it reminds me of one I have and I pull it out for a while and do some more work on it!!!!!!

I have hung a kingsize grandmothers flower garden quilt over the window to stop the hot sun penetrating the room, on it is hanging the centre of Hearts Desire by Esther Aliu.

One of 12 1930 blocks I bought on EBay 15 years ago, Im repairing the beautiful wee pieces of fabric and then machine quilting the blocks. There has been a 1″ shrinkage in this block, from all most a 12 1/2″ block I have a square 11 1/2″ block. A lot of shrinkage but it is all 1/4 quilted.

One of Ricky Tims designs Ive just added the birds. I call this Tropical Sunset. I sat at the machine and appliquéd two of the birds on using bottom line and a very narrow but close zigzag stitch I have a very old 320 Bernina.
Merry Christmas ALL, this may be my last blog for 2016 as family start to arrive tomorrow. Thanks for all your company through 2016. Cheers Glenda
